In 2021 I adapted a short story called The Oasis by Ted Turnau into a wordless short graphic novel. The story is about discovering something full of spiritual intrigue and wonder in a barren and cruel world. In the story, the main character finds himself challenged to become vulnerable as he discovers something completely ‘other’. I love the story and Ted was very kind to give me his support and encouragement.

Seed - the animated project

After I created How to Listen as a test animation piece in 2023 I have been plotting to make this sequence into something more… it will likely take quite a few months but I have started planning it in detail and decided to just start making pieces. I have applied for some funding support and am looking for some classically-trained Tamil musicians who can work within the Carnatic tradition.
